<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->EAST-BOUND train services on the East-West Line between Outram Park and City Hall stations were disrupted for 25 minutes yesterday at about 6.50 pm, when a train broke down.
The train stalled due to a fault while it was at the Outram Park station.
Passengers were asked to alight, and the train following behind was then used to haul the stalled train back to the depot. Normal train services resumed about 25 minutes later.
SMRT said about 11,000 people, both on the trains and at the stations, were affected by the disruption.
It apologised to commuters for the inconvenience caused, adding that those unable to complete their journeys may claim a full refund from the passenger service centres at its stations within the next three working days.
