The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is planning to purchase two casino gaming tables for training purposes.

According to the Government’s e-procurement portal, the SPF is looking to buy a table for blackjack and another for roulette.

Mr Ramachandar Siva, chief executive officer of the ICG School of Casino & Hospitality Management, which offers casino-related education, said casino-standard roulette wheels typically cost between US$3,500 ($4,850) and US$10,000 ($13,880), and are usually imported.

Blackjack tables usually cost up to $2,500, and typically include a locally-manufactured table and imported table layout.

Mr Ramachandar said that with the imminent opening of Singapore’s two integrated resorts, it is likely that gaming patrons and even casino staff may try to cheat.

He added that cheating attempts are relatively common, especially if potential cheats think security at a particular casino is lax.

Police gonna station themselves at the tables to watch out for cheats and arrest them while at the gambling table ???? I saw those Hong Kong movies that casinos has many video cameras watching every inch of the casino. Not in our IRs ????

Since they cannot go into casino to catch cheats (since it is job of the casino AND more importantly have to pay entrance fees remember ?) might as well have their own table and gamble among themselves every day, including CNY !!

It clearly demonstrate Singapore as a nanny state. Open casino and let the police involved in it. Only in Singapore can this ever happen; gaming cheats is responsibility of the operator of the casino and tax payer funds is used for the purpose of training these jokers .
