</center> Orlando Bloom has won over his new in-laws.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star - who married Australian lingerie model Miranda Kerr in a secret ceremony last week - has been praised by his new mother-in-law for being a "true gentleman".
Therese Kerr told People: "Orlando being the true gentleman he is, followed tradition by asking for Miranda's hand in marriage and we had no hesitation. They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other.
"All we have ever wanted is for our children to be healthy and happy, and we have never seen Miranda healthier and happier."
This is not the first time the British-born actor - who tied the knot with the brunette beauty just one month after announcing their engagement - has been praised by his new wife's family.
Miranda's grandmother, Ann Kerr, recently applauded her granddaughter's choice of partner.
She said: "We are so happy for her. They are well-suited and the family is delighted for them. They are good together. They laugh and giggle. When we are all together, I watch them and see that he's very attentive to Miranda. He must be a nice boy otherwise Miranda wouldn't be with him.
"All I want is the best for her. She is just lovely, from the top of her head to the bottom of her toes."
