Opposition should engage in Cross-Party Support to show unity

Nicole Seah was the first to have made a cross-party support by quoting Mr Chiam See Tong's speech, even though they belong to different parties.

I think it's a good strategy and it can help unite voters if opposition parties speak up for one another during the rallies.

Nicole in particular can speak up for Tan Jee Say since his assailant is none other than Nicole's opponent in Marine Parade, Goh Chok Tong.

Likewise, WP could speak up for KJ since JBJ himself was SG of WP before.

And when PAP attacks a particular candidate from a particular party, other opposition parties should step in and support the victim.

SDP will do well if they support Chiam See Tong and Lina Chiam. It will help repair tarnished image and keep the opposition camadererie strong.

WP does not need to engage, for they are already a popular party. Their rallies attract people in the five figures sum.

NSP and SPP should make good partners, they are around the same. SDP is also good to engage with looking at their new and impressive candidates.

Only problem is nobody wants to associate with RP or SDA.

No. Dun confuse the voting public. If you are worth your salt, you should be able to make a stand and defend it. Cross party support of the kind you suggested could be misconstrued as arrogance. Stay clear of controversy and hammer home the points which matter to the voters.
