BREAKING: Lawyer and ex-Reform Party Chairman Charles Yeo, 31, is presently seeking political asylum in the United Kingdom in a bid to "vindicate his name". Charles said that the decision was "very painful and difficult"

Charles currently faces criminal charges in Singapore for, amongst other things, allegedly harassing a police officer and wounding the religious feelings of Christians who view homosexuality as contrary to their religious beliefs.

Charles' allegation that the investigations were politically motivated was categorically rejected by the Police, who noted that the police had received at least four police reports involving four different clients of Whitefield Law Corporation, alleging forgery and/or criminal breach of trust.

In a series of Instagram posts announcing his decision, he explained his decision and apologised to his lawyers and friends.
