If you guys think majority dense voters will wake up and vote PAP out, it will never happen.
Until today, these local people still worry about jobs and think PAP is their saint. They have already lost their sense and conscience and direction.
PAP people have overpriced singapore, and a downturn will hurt the people. So what if you have huge reserves when you have so much to feed.
Look at the car price, HDB price, they are priced becos PAP people feel the price is right for the first world amidst the third world. We just cannot behave like the neighbors !
PAP prices things in relation to their salaries not the peasants'.
So what if you give rebates, handouts, lower taxes, etc, these are just running repairs.
Most HDB leaseholders (new or resale) spend most of their pay on HDB houses they think they owe which it is not. So when they get retrenched, work for PAP or play ping pong for the monkey familee ???
And paying HDB houses is a lifelong issue !
When the island is burning, just imagine HDB Mah is still in the golden period!

PAP now has to feed the FT workers, take care PRs, and on sufferance, the local citizens in the streets when rain has come.
Singapore needs good economy to survive the huge population on the small island they brought upon the island.
Every now and now, if there is a economic crisis, the overcrowded singapore is at risk of collapse.
Can you imagine 6.5 million ? What after next ?
Look at Malaysia and indonesia, good economy is a bonus to them. They have Ubi kayu, sweet potatoes, kangtang behind the backyard when there is no economy.
We cannot compare the size of one country to another.
Sinagpore too can survive like the neighbors but PAP has destroyed the backdoor long time ago.
HDB walls and tiles cannot be eaten, or make Bak Kut teh. When there is no economy, the island perishes, PAP tycoons skip town.
