One dead after two women shot at Surrey home

METRO VANCOUVER - A Surrey woman is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in a home in the 14300-block 72nd Avenue.
Cpl. Jack Hundial of the Surrey RCMP said police arrived at the residence around 4:45 p.m. yesterday in response to reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, he said both victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was pronounced dead on scene while the second was taken to hospital.
Further information, including the victim's names or condition of the hospitalized woman, have not been released.
Hundial said police are holding one man in custody in connection with the shooting as the investigation continues.
