We would like to take the opportunity to share that the senior citizen concession scheme is administered by TransitLink on behalf of the public transport operators. As all concessionary fares in Singapore are cross-subsidised by full-fare-paying commuters in Singapore, we have to be prudent about granting further travel concessions beyond the present arrangement. Hence, the senior citizen concession is a privilege extended only to Singapore citizens and permanent residents when they reach 60 years old.'
