Why bank clients must have a Plan B

<!-- by line --><!-- end by line -->

WITH Monday's news of the DBS/POSB network breakdown - we have learnt an important lesson that anything is possible. We cannot always rely on a single plan (Bank A), but must always have a back-up plan (Bank B) to fall back on.
Recently, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew made a comment that having three local banks is too many and they may have to consolidate into two or fewer banks for better muscle to compete in the world market.
The unthinkable may happen if there is only one local bank for Singaporeans. While considering competitiveness outside Singapore, we must also consider competitiveness within Singapore and giving Singaporeans more choices - like having the current three local banks to choose from.
Just like the water issue, as we are working towards being self-sufficient, we must not forget to have an 'additional' water deal with our neighbouring country, as a back-up plan in case something unexpected should happen. This way, we have additional water to rely on in case of an emergency, and with a deal still in place, it is a win-win situation for both countries.

Diversity is prosperity. Singularity is dictatorial !

Let Lee Kuan Yew be wrong everytime . We support our local bank .

Let not POSB and DBS interfere .

Lee Kuan Yew can bring in tens of thousands of FTs to
degrade our local working condition . While at schools and institutes,
they say you not good enough and put a stop to your progress .
Yet they allow tens of thousands of " Foreign Talents " into Singapore to
degrade our working condition .

You question them, they say it's lowly skill workers Singaporeans don't want.
You question them again and say they hold skilled and high value jobs .
They say you are under qualified .
You question them why are over-stayers on social pass are allowed to
work in illegal jobs or allowed to re-look for jobs ?
They say lets move on .

And Lee Kuan Yew wants to have few banks to have upper hand control .

I say screw him .

Those that feel Singapore is crowded can venture into India like what they did .

2 bank is enough? we know what happened the last he said two is enough.

Acherlee, the Gods showing that there are far greater powers than he and not to open his gab too much

If we allowed Lee Kuan Yew to dictate his wimps and fancy .

He will tighten the noose already around around our necks .

three banks to one bank is to make sure the fairy tale propery price continues--this is the motive !

Ah Lin saw it comin, and so the POSB/DBS network breakdown gave him a chance to talk about the water issue also ---brillant !

2 banks with fake competition?...like SBS Transit & SMRT buses, WanBao & SinMin, NHG & SingHealth cluster, Channel 8 & channel U etc...:oIo:

What had happened to DBS and POSB are freak accident and happened only once in 50 years. Furthermore, DBS and POSB are private entity. Nothing to do with the govt. This only shows that our govt are more efficient than pirvate entity.
