Obese abandoned dog named Cindy Crawford undergoes INCREDIBLE transformation after being found on the streets

Dog lovers are praising an animal charity CEO after he shared the incredible story of how he rescued an morbidly obese dog from death.

Niall Harbison, the owner of Happy Doggo, found a 100 pound Shepherd named Cindy Crawford in the middle of a street in Thailand a year ago.

The stray dog could barely walk, had her hair falling out and was covered in sores when she was found by Harbison.

After she was taken in, doctors discovered that she was suffering from a thyroid issue and advised Harbison to be slow with her recovery as she could have died from a heart attack given the stress her body was under.

After five months of careful training and medication, 'Cindy' was able to begin running and her recovery was taken over by her current owner and personal trainer, Lana.

Cindy was able to drop her weight to 62 pounds and improve her skin in the span of seven months since she was rescued and showed signs of major improvement.

After swimming twice a day, taking daily jungle hikes and controlling her diet for a complete year, Cindy is now showing signs of major confidence and is the picture of good health.

'This is Cindy Crawford today. She has her life back. Her dignity. Her self confidence.

She might just be a street dog in Thailand but I think we can all learn a lot from Cindy. We might be down at times in life. But we're never out,' Harbison wrote in a X post yesterday.

Harbison's followers and dog lovers praised the charity's efforts and commitment to help Cindy on X.

'This is an incredible story! You’re such wonderful humans to help,' one viewer wrote.

While another animal enthusiast said: 'I'm not crying you're crying'.

One supporter quipped: 'Cindy was my introduction to you and your work. What a beautiful transformation.'

The charity was founded in 2023 after Harbison began feeding malnourished dogs in Thailand while recovering from a near-death experience.

He has since dedicated a piece of land in the country to making a sanctuary for dogs to recuperate and takes in only the most sick and vulnerable dogs.
