Astrologers predict good year for Obama

Kuala Lumpur, Jan.20 : Astrologers have said that America's President-elect Barack Hussein Obama will be 'America's luckiest president'.
Born on August 4, 1961, Obama, whose star sign is Leo, will be the 44th US president when he is inaugurated today.
According to reputed Indian astrologer Bejan Daruwala, Obama's basic numbers are 2 (from Jan 20), 4 (from his birthday) and 8 (from 4+4 of the 44th president), which signify leadership, happiness and success.
Daruwala predicts that Obama would be a better person for world peace and prosperity as compared with American presidents of the last four decades.
Mumbai-based Daruwala was quoted by the New Strait Times as saying that Obama would succeed in bringing solutions to the deluge of problems he was facing around the world, in addition to restoring America's dented image.
"Obama's main astrological trait is that he is capable of saving people from their own worst weaknesses. He has a natural talent for public service with common sense, neutrality and pragmatism. He has charisma and extraordinary communication abilities that persuade people to trust him and accept his vision and leadership," said Daruwala.
Daruwala predicted that these qualities would extend to the people of the world, including America's enemies.
Chinese numerologist Weng Shi Ming believes that despite being America's 44th president, there is nothing unlucky about Obama.
"In Cantonese, the numbers 44 are phonetically similar to the words 'die die', usually people are afraid of this number, but for Obama it is different because his year of birth is very unique."
According to Weng, 1961 was the first "upside-up" year (one in which the numerals that form the year look the same as when they are rotated upside down) since 1881, and the last until 6009.
"'Upside-up' years are rare and very auspicious. No matter what you do to the number it is symmetrical and balanced, achieving the perfect mix of Ying and Yang.
"As a result, Obama is immune to the effects of 44."
According to the Chinese zodiac, the ox usually points to a person being a born leader, who is dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things.
The ox is also patient, tireless, and capable of enduring any hardship without complaint.
Local astrologer G. Suresh said Obama, even if he had powerful leadership capacity, would not be able to make solid decisions given that the moon was now into its new approach this season.
"Given that the moon controls a person's mind and behaviour, a full moon is always considered a good omen, not a new moon as the lunar season is moving into now.
"Also, Jupiter, which is often used as a guide to portray one's leadership and strength, is now floating in a weak position in the solar system under the Capricorn zodiac."
