對於有女示威者稱被警方不當搜身，警方反駁指控，指女事主不是被完全脫去內衣搜身、警方沒有要求她做出張開雙腿或踎低起身等動作。又表示為保障私隱，當時閉路電視只是影著羈留室外的通道、而無影著羈留室內。
警方又說，留意到有報道指本港是否需要引用「緊急法」，警方作為執法部門，不適合評論，強調警方有能力處理現時艱難時期的亂局。
