Whah scroobal, first off, I'm quite disappointed with your thread on CSM. Hopefully you have some good reasons for doing so.

As for MP, it's a difficult stall to set up for the Alternate Party, NSP. The PAP has definitely out-stayed their welcome but since they control so many facets of Singaporean's lives including the mainstream media, they will still be the team to beat.

But kudos to GMS and his team for putting a team there.

All longtime bros here please do your part to share to others so that they will vote for the Alternative Parties in GE2011.

LTK was actually quite politically famous before he won Hougang. He was JBJ Anson campaign manager in 1984, assistant secretary-general (no. 2 man in WP) and himself candidate in Tiong Bahru GRC (incorporating Anson) in 1988 scoring 43%. It shocked LKY into merging the whole Tiong Bahru and Anson into his Tanjong Pagar GRC. It was second page news then as the front page was about Francis Seow scoring 49% in Eunos. Kicked out of Tiong Bahru by such means, he ended up in Hougang and the rest is history.

the miw have a funny policy, they dont have a habit of sacking their own dogs. they either put the fella in a kennel where his/her bark isn't really audible, or, they wait till the dog is aged, and decommission the fella with grace. very rare but does happen from time to time, where their own dogs bow out (resign/stepdown) before his/her time is up.

in the current GE, they feeling the heat, but have no choice, need to put up a brave front. they lay off the 3 old hags (not as old as the oldest alpha), as an indication that they r in the spirit of revival, have a fountain of youths sprouting blah blah blah

no, prizes for guessing, even if any of their ministars end up losing their jobs in the GE, they will either be reinstated as NMP or, recycled in some GLC (assuming the incumbent wins enough votes to be re-elected gahmen)
