Whoever become the Secretary General of NSP tomorrow will have the toughest job of restarting its engine again. The chances of success will be very slim after NSP has lost all of its momentum after GE 2011.

On top of that, the immense politicking within will be the biggest obstacle...

I guess, NSP has more substance than any Wayang Party....

I do not think so. In terms of policy ideas, NSP is not lack of it. As for Gopi Bala, there are many people who failed to win seats as well... so far, even for WP alone, the successful rate is less than 35%.

Frankly speaking, there is little difference on where she (Nicole Seah) stands. I would think that it is better for her to stay in NSP and try to do the best out of it. The main problem lies with her, not the platform.

Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss has become the new NSP SECRETARY GENERAL..Congrats and good luck to her....

Singapore will not end up with two party system, but rather, a multi-party system. What will happen after that is anyone's guess.

Not that easy for NSP lah. Only has one Nicole Seah who has any chance to win a seat.

Goh Meng Seng or GoMadSeng should know that substance ranking is not dependent on his preference, hatred or jealousy. I'm not downplaying NSP but it cannot make sense that it has more substance than WP when WP has 10x their numbers. I would even say that I rank SDP and not NSP as number 2.

That doesn't mean NSP cannot succeed because WP or SDP alone cannot do it - not yet at least. If NSP can form a team of Jeannette, Nicole, Steve Chia and 2 others, it is quite close to getting a GRC.

Unfortunately the heavyweights outside WP are divided quite equally in 4 different camps, otherwise it would have been better.

so far, even for WP alone, the successful rate is less than 35%.

I am not sure how 35% came about. The least votes WP could garner anywhere was 41%. If we take the percent of 6 out of 23 candidates, it is 26%.

Singapore will not end up with two party system, but rather, a multi-party system. What will happen after that is anyone's guess.

If GMS says SDP's future is pessimistic and NSP lost all of its momentum, how does he think a multi-party system will take place. With SDA and RP?
