NSman pleads guilty to molesting student in lift

SINGAPORE: A 20-year-old national serviceman pleaded guilty Tuesday to molesting an 18-year-old student in a lift of an apartment building.
Wong Guo Xun was found guilty of one charge of outraging the modesty of the secondary school girl on March 18, this year.
Investigations revealed that at 2.35pm that day, the girl, a Chinese national, was heading to her tuition teacher's place at Kim Tian Road.
Wong, who started following her at some point, continued to do so all the way to the apartment where he then entered the lift with her.
When the girl was about to step out of the lift, Wong touched her buttocks.
The girl's tuition teacher later called the police and Wong was arrested.
District Judge Ng Peng Hong called for a probation report and Wong will be back in court on August 2.
He can be jailed up to two years, fined, or caned.
