By Roland Lim, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 14 November 2008

MACAU : Singapore's Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong is on a two-day working visit in Macau to find out more about the social impact of the gaming industry on Macau's society.

On Thursday, he visited two gaming resorts and was briefed by senior management about the economic contribution and employment opportunities the industry has brought to the territory.

Mr Goh met with Macau Chief Executive Edmund Ho for lunch on Friday, and they had a friendly exchange of views.

The Senior Minister complimented the Mr Ho for Macau's rapid transformation, and for adding a 'buzz' to the city.

Mr Ho briefed Senior Minister Goh on his plans to diversify Macau's economy by developing it into a major regional tourist destination and entertainment hub.

Both also exchanged views on the current financial crisis, as well as the challenges that Macau is currently facing.

Maybe his report would conclude no social impact to Singaporeans - thus will suggest un-banning the 29k sinkees + no $100 entrance fee for locals

LKY says HK has buzz. Now this Wooden, without any creativity of his own, says Macau has buzz. So will Singapore have buzz only when the PAP loses power?

They rather waste tax-payer's money for this kind of senseless study than to use the money to help locals. With the economy recession is looming, these S*class ministers are "renaming Marina Bay as Marina Bay".

PAP go eat shit!
