I checked Singapore prices, scandisk, samsung and others before buying during the Expo, more expensive than Amazon, hence why I got it from Amazon.

everything fast, boot up and shutdown. now notebook machiam i20 core. hehehehe

There are reports of SSDs suddenly dying, try to go for more reliable brands.

Use a SSD as your OS boot drive, for storage use a normal mechanical HDD. Anyway, it's still very expensive to have a few Tbs of SSDs as storage.

the chances of SSD dying:hard disk is very low. Once you used SSD, you never looked back. Mine is a sold OCZ, they make real solid SSD but too bad i heard recently the company went broke.

Heard that SSDs may be less reliable than a hard drive. So take the precaution of backing up your data.
Get one of those external HDD, A 1 TB external HDD is only about SIN$100.

When buying SSD, check out whether the manufacturer handles most of the processes of manufacturing. For Samsung, they handle almost all parts of production. So better quality control.

That's a common misconception. A SSD has no moving mechanical parts. Less prone to errors from bumps or drops.

even if drop on the floor also will not spoil. the only issue is it has limited write and rewrite capability. but that....seriously its very unlikely for you to hit the limit, most likely you already change computer by then

this one is call user like you too lazy and stupid

Everyone should have a back up regime. I've seen enough people lose their data at work.

I guess some know it alls like you must learn their hard lessons, the hard way:rolleyes:

What about Sandisk and Intel SSDs? Good?

I decided to go with Intel because some people were saying it was more reliable:confused:
So far I haven't experienced any problems.

If you want to get an SSD you will probably have a better experience if you are using a newer version of the OS. For Win users Win 7 or newer, for Mac OS users something newer than snow leopord such as the Mountain Lion or newer.

That's true.
