The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet released today and based on initial review, the results reveal a nice surprise. Nokia’s tablet release coincides with additional items of release, this article however, will bring readers a summary of the Lumia 2520.
Nokia’s Lumia 2520 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which makes the tablet run strong and speedy regardless of the demands. Today, consumers are growing in their demand for speed and size for their electronic devices. The Nokia Lumia 2520 seems to be receiving rave reviews when it comes to this facet of speed. Consumers can watch videos, play games and run various operations with confidence. Nokia also presents the latest software from Windows, splashing across the 1920 x 1080 HD display.
The Snapdragron processor on the new tablet can handle heavy data loads with ease. Maybe, it should be called the Speed-Dragon! Agility and speed on any tablet depends largely on the processor and the newest release today, the Nokia Lumia 2520 meets that demand. A micro SD slot card, micro HDMI and Micro USB ports are also feature in the Lumina 2520. These are precisely the features which fell short on tablets in their past market. Well, now a great group of people will have no complaints about the bells and whistles on their tablets. Lumia took care of that with their luxury features.
Nokia decided to create a 10.1 inch size tablet and for good reason. Every inch counts for visionary appeal, in addition the 2520 is lighter than much of its competitor’s devices. Nokia’s decision on the size of the tablet is possibly based on consumer requests for size without bulk. Many techies have stated that 10.1 inch size tablet is not the most comfortable to handle. True that this size is not the most ergonomic size for of the hands. Any smaller, the device would lose its appeal as a tablet and become more along the lines as a “phablet.”
The cost of the Nokia Lumia is starts at $400 and goes up as high as $500. The difference is whether a contract comes with the device. The Lumia 2520 has newer features and while some complaints have been received regarding the size, Nokia did a good job when it comes to the weight. Nokia did hit it out of the park with its new massive 8,000 mAh battery. This is a huge competitive move for Nokia, consumers want to enjoy their devices without worrying about carrying a charger everywhere. With an extended battery life, the Lumia can provide up to an additional five hours of active play.
The only knock Nokia may face is the price of the device. The company suffers a small deficit against its possible major competitor, the Surface 2 RT from Microsoft. The Microsoft Surface 2 RT is priced at around $450 – a mid-range price without a contract. The Nokia 2520 was reviewed as a faster and slicker looking tablet. The price however, in a tight consumer market may prove to be a factor against the Lumia 2520.
Nokia, may remember how much of a difference price made when VHS and BETA were release. A not so big price difference delivered a big consumer surprise for BETA. Nokia may remember in spite of the reviews of the critics, the public ultimately yielded to the price difference.
Nokia’s design got the approval and attention of many with its bright red color which stands out in the crowd, with a glow. A black color tablet is also available at Verizon wireless and AT&T stores. Nokia presents outdoor features which provides important amenities for users. A strong glass on the screen which provides improved views from an angle and a better display during daylight. A strong coating given to the glass surface is helpful in reducing glare when it’s used outdoor. These features on the Lumia 2520 have earned compliments for Nokia, receiving the thumbs up by many.
