PEASANTPORE: Peasantpore's overall crime rate in the first six months of the year fell by 2.3 per cent, compared to the same period last year.
Figures released by the Poddles on Tuesday showed that there were 15,576 cases from January to June in 2012, compared to 15,944 in the same period last year.
According to the figures, foreigner related crime e.g. petty theft-related crimes were the only offences which went up, increasing by 3.3 per cent, mainly due to a rise in cases of theft of bicycles and theft-in-dwelling. Well it could be lower but the counter poddles are unable to 'convince' peasants not to report 'ka cham pu teh' petty crimes.
In addition, Poddles began using a new form of creative account and classification to make it look as if Peasantpore has low crime rates compared to Nordic countries. Serious penal code crimes e.g. wealthy and well connected Woffles Wu lying to Traffic Poddles are downgraded to 'abetment' and will dropped from the radar because it is considered petty crimes. Hence this is another old Asiatic trick used by Poddles to show their political masters that all is well in Peasantpore.
Improvements were seen in the area of unlicensed money lending and it was ingeniously solved by granting licenses to ah longs with endorsement from 山木庚. The new money lenders aka 'Legalised Ah Longs' are given free training using Nihon's Yakazu as a model to intimidate peasants using softer approaches. These soft means are tolerated if ah long runners do not vandalised Housing Mafia's pigeonholes.
However some ah longs who balked paying protection money to the regime are swiftly given a series of good thumpings. There was an 21.8 per cent increase in the number of peasants arrested for unlicensed moneylending activity because of continued enforcement efforts due to peasant and netizen 'cry father, cry mother' in state papers. 848 peasants were arrested in the first half of 2011 compared to 1,033 arrested in first half of 2012. Those rebellious ah longs are warned failure to pay protection fees in the form of license will see more harassment from Poodles units even if they enticed more peasant youths to do perform their dodgy deeds.
Another area which saw improvement was phone scams in cases where money was cheated.
The number of cases because the Poddles told many peasants the international criminals are untouchable and many peasants get the hint by withdrawing their reports.
