That is S$572 million (using exchange rate of S$1.416 = US$1). And we haven't include all the infrastructure expenses on the circuit. I wonder whether will the returns to the economy justifies the more than half a billion dollars spent on such a single event?

Returns should justify; but who gets the returns is another question.

If we are going to replace the Chinese Singaporeans (remember replacement level at 1.07 and falling and soon to be extinct) we might as well bring in the right crowd.
