Curious why her younger sister was taking a long time in the bathroom, the elder girl peeped under the door and was shocked to see a pair of tiny legs on the floor. It dawned on her then that her 19-year-old sister had just delivered a baby! The elder sister, 20, barged in and found the newborn baby girl, with the umbilical cord still intact, dead, Harian Metro reported.
Following the 4.20pm incident on Friday at their home in Nibong Tebal, the elder girl rushed her sister to the Sungai Bakap Hospital, where doctors said the baby was still-born. Seberang Perai Selatan OCPD Supt Shafien Mamat said the case was being investigated as attempting to hide the birth of a child under Section 318 of the Penal Code. The younger girl later confessed that she had had a relationship with a man in his 20s.
