This is the reason why Sinkie government welcomes New citizens. They contributes, not like old sinkies only complain & keep asking for help.
Jet Li meets Apec youth delegates
GONGFU star Jet Li was in town on Thursday to share his vision with Apec youth delegates on creating a philanthropic society.
He also spoke to them about his philosophy on "thinking big, acting small", where small actions amount to a greater change.
This was part of the Voices of the Future (VOF) programme to talk about the roles young people can play to create a more philanthropic society.
Li also shared his dreams for the One Foundation, a charity foundation that was set up by him in April 2007 after he and his family were caught up in the 2004 tsunami while on a holiday in the Maldives.
"Big is good, small is great", said Mr Li in Mandarin. "We all have a role to play in the community, whether your role is big or small."
When asked how he compares himself with Bruce Lee in terms of giving and contributing to society, Li answered that he did not see that he is giving or contributing.
Instead, he felt that it was his responsibility as a human being to look after the earth and be answerable to the next generation.
The session stretched past one hour as the actor turned philanthropist was swamped with more than 20 questions.
