New phone line for each mio TV set-top box? That's absurd

I WOULD like to highlight the short-sightedness of SingTel's mio TV system.
I find myself in the unfortunate position of having one existing mio TV box as well as a SingTel broadband connection - each linked to an existing phone line in my home.
With SingTel's acquisition of English Premier League (EPL) football broadcast rights next year, I requested more set-top boxes. Imagine my surprise when I was told that each additional mio TV box requires a new phone line and SingTel insists on charging me for each one.
This is ridiculous.
With StarHub, one cable allowed multiple set-top boxes to be connected. Paying for and maintaining extra set-top boxes is already an annoyance, but I should not have to pay extra to 'lease' more phone lines because SingTel's system is incapable of matching the previous service provider.
As it stands, SingTel is actually penalising me for being a loyal customer. Had I not committed myself to its broadband service, I could have got a free second line for the TV service. But this does not apply to subsequent lines.
I feel obliged to share this experience with Singaporeans, so they do not find themselves similarly punished for choosing SingTel.
I urge the authorities to review this matter urgently.

Mio is a system that is being foist on consumers by the largest telco in the country when it is like still years to perfection, taken out of the lab prematurely. But we have enough silly people around who would just dive in because of some profound character weakness that makes them willing guinea pigs, like what Nixon once said about getting people by the balls and the rest will come!

By the way, StarHub has been hawking its TV stuff foc on the Preview channel. My conclusion so far is that the fare shown reminds me of what free-to-air TV was like before the advent of StarHub and SingTel! So it may be fairly concluded that the two commercial stations are basically formed to make viewers pay for what was otherwise previously free stuffs! The stuff being purveyed with some exception is basically trash. Same old cartoons, same old sub-normal mentality 'comedy' shows, same old cheap thrill stuff, blah, blah, blah.
