When the owner, 32-year-old Madam Chen, stepped out to take a look, she was shocked and revolted.
An army of cockroaches was streaming out from the rubbish chute next to her back door, reported Lianhe Wanbao.

For the next two hours, she claimed she killed more than 1,000 cockroaches, with help from her employee and a newspaper vendor.
Stomped on them
They swept the cockroaches away and stomped on them.
When that proved inadequate, the frustrated vendor bought a can of insecticide from a nearby provision shop.
The cockroaches first appeared at 5pm in Madam Chen's salon at Jurong East Street 24.
She recalled: 'I went to the back door and saw more cockroaches crawling in through a slit in the back door.
'So my employee and I stuffed folded newspaper into the slit to block their entrance.'
Madam Chen told her staff to get rid of the cockroaches in the salon while she went outside to check. That was when she saw the swarm of cockroaches.
She said a similar incident happened about four years ago, but she has no idea why so many cockroaches reappeared.
