Picked up a book titled "Over the counter Natural Cures" by Shane Ellison, M.S. at MPH(JB). Interesting thing is the author used to be a chemist working for big Pharma & knows about the side effects of the drugs like statins. As a result of his background he now recommends natural cures over drugs as a safer & cheaper alternative :)

These recommended supplements are safer and more effective than drugs. For example Plavix which many doctors are prescribing for heart problems is very expensive & causes thinning of the blood causing internal bleeding. Personally suffered from nose bleeds from using Plavix & the long term side effects are worse. Hawthorn is a better alternative without the dangers.

A good nights sleep(9 hours) will help the body recover & rebuild. This is something many of us overlook.

Bad fats include saturated fats from animal sources & trans fats which is hydrogenated vegetable oils. Hydrogenated oils are used by many fast food places like MacDonald, KFC,.... It has been banned in California because its very unhealthy contributing to obesity & heart problems

There are omega 6 fats from seed, plant sources. There are also omega 3 fats from fish. We need both types of fats for good health but many people eat too much omega 6 fats because of corn, soy, safflower & sunflower oil. A single tablespoon of corn oil is derived from 12 to 18 ears of corn.

An overdose of omega 6 might predispose us to all types of cancer.

So its healthier to cut down on the omega 6, increase the consumption of omega 3 fatty acids and naturally occuring healthy saturated fats from seeds, nuts, butter, fish, grass-fed beef & cocnut oil.

PAP as a gov't is obviously not looking after the welfare of its citizens :(


One has to question their policies that impact our health: from the new water, to the sale of frozen meat, increasing rentals of food courts, charging gst on food & health care, closing of wet markets,.....

They might be literally killing Sporeans. Even LHL is a victim. No one else in the family has cancer, why is he the only lucky one :confused:
