Portuguese league and Premier league standard is far apart. Secondly, he was at Porto when there was no other serious contender for the title that year. Thirdly, the Europa Cup is the the Champion's League like what someone mentioned. It is a cup whereby most big clubs do not want to get involved in (not much monetary rewards and very taxing on the players). This cup is only for those medium size clubs and their managers to glorify themselves.
