That old lady is really something. 90+ yrs old still working. But closing the store means that she has nothing to do everyday and very soon she'll be gone. She can live up to such an old age because she keeps herself active by working. I frequented her stall outside National Library during schooldays. The wanton mee tasted better back then. The standard has dropped ever since they moved to Fat Easy Sq.

90+ still so wanton?

She didn't die and they didn't go bankrupt... they're looking for a new location to set up shop due to a lease dispute with the landlord.

There are still plenty of pretentious/hipster restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby.

Her son or grandson had been trying to sell her recipe for a little while, according to earlier
press reports. I remember being used to be terrified of her when I went to eat at her stall
down the slope from the National Library.

Did you have the ice kachang after that at the old NLB joint?

The wonton mee & ice kachang must have combo.
