The naked body of a woman in her 20s was found floating in Moyog river, snagged on the branch of a tree, reported Kosmo!
A youth passing by the river near Kampung Kodudungan, Jalan Terawih, in Penampang, Sabah, made the grisly discovery at around 10am on Monday.
A witness, who declined to be identified, said the woman was believed to have died several days ago before being dragged by the river current to that part of the river, which is a popular fishing spot.
"This was the first time we found a body in this river, so it came as quite a shock," said the witness.
Penampang OCPD Deputy Supt Ratan Kumar Singh said police were waiting for the post-mortem result to determine the cause of death of the victim, who is yet to be identified.
