JOHOR BARU - The naked body of a 28-year-old woman was found in a room at a budget hotel in Taman Skudai Baru, Skudai, here.
It is understood that hotel workers were conducting their rounds when they discovered the body at about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
The woman's brother, who only wanted to be known as Hafiz, said he did not had much contact with his sister and only knew that she lived with her family in Bandar Baru Uda.
"I learnt that she had checked into the hotel with a man. But my sister never mentioned anything about her relationship with other people after her husband died about a year ago," said the 24-year-old technician.
Johor Baru (North) deputy OCPD Supt Beh Eng Lai said the woman, a single mother of two, was found on the floor next to the bed.
"The woman, who worked as a cleaner at a school nearby, had checked into the hotel on Monday," he said.
Supt Beh said there were no injuries on the body, which had been sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for a post-mortem.
He also said the case had been classified as sudden death.
