Pig heads left in mosques


KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIAN police said three severed pigs' heads were found at two mosques on Wednesday, in the latest of a spate of attacks on places of worship that have escalated ethnic tensions.

National police chief Musa Hassan said one head was found in the grounds of the Masjid Taman Dato Harun in a Kuala Lumpur suburb and two others were left at the nearby Al Imam al Tirmizi mosque. The heads were from wild pigs commonly found in Malaysia.

'By looking at the modus operandi of the two incidents... I think it is the same group that is involved in the previous attacks,' he said, referring to assaults on two Muslim prayer halls and 11 churches in recent weeks.

The places of worship were pelted with Molotov cocktails, stones and paint in tensions triggered by a court ruling that overturned a government ban on non-Muslims using the word 'Allah' as a translation for 'God'.

Mr Musa said he believed the attacks were being funded by a group that was attempting to worsen tensions in Malaysia, a predominantly Muslim nation which is also home to large ethnic Chinese and Indian communities.

'I think they are throwing money to those carrying out the attacks to cause such incidents,' he told reporters. 'Don't play with fire, I will not compromise on the security of the country. Please do not provoke the public or any parties to undermine the security of the country,' he added. -- AFP

UNCOUTH: Cops covering the boar heads at the Al Tarmizi Mosque compound

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Musa Hassan, during a Press conference at Masjid At-Tarmizi , confirmed that there were two similiar cases at both mosques with a similiar modus operandi.

He urged the public to not take drastic measures and leave the case for the authorities to deal with.
"Right now, police have increased the number of patrols around the areas and investigation is ongoing."
Musa said it is important for the public to remain calm and stop speculating. Also present were KL Police Chief Datuk Mohammad Sabtu Osman, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed and Brickfields District Deputy Police Chief Supt Azri Abd Rahman
The case is investigated under Section 295 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term up to two years or a fine or both

I was informed by one PRC auntie that during their visits to Malaysia, she said that place is so dirty and wished she never have gone there! Singapore is comparatively cleaner!
