Singapore should not abolish mandatory death sentences for heinous crimes.

I am sad that there is another heinous crime committed in Singapore.I just read about drug mule a 22 year old Yong Vui Kong's case.

I do not enjoy reading anyone being sentence to death but i support the death sentence because i always believe that having death sentences will deter anyone from committing any heinous crimes. However i am sad that even with the death penalty, there are a few if not many people still being caught for comitting such crimes.

I am shocked and sad to read that a 75 year old man who was a security guard has been killed by a 19 year old man a Malaysian and such case has been treated as a murder.

I cannot imagine if Singapore removes the mandatory death sentences. If such were to happen, i am sure tha Singapore will no longer be a safe place to work, live and play.

Keeping Singapore safe is not only the responsibility of the Singapore Police Force and other authorities but also the responsibility of all people in Singapore as well as to report any offences and crimes which can and will make Singapore a safe place.
