Went to visit someone at Bakasi a small city beside Jakarta but the drive there on the jam highway took me 1.5hrs. Passed by a small town next to Bakasi known as Jatibening saw this local shop selling Soto Kudus stopped by for lunch.
Soto Kudos is actually soto ayam but comes in a very small bowl the same size as an ordinary chinese rice bowl but packed with chicken and taugay and fried garlic. Unlike soto ayam which contains tang-hoon, soto Kudus does not contain tang-hoon and is to be eaten with a plate of rice and looks like this -
Cost of soto 9,000 rupiah ($1.15), rice 3,500 ($0.45)
Soto stalls traditionally serve the table with a plate of chicken spare parts and quail eggs and perkedel like this
Below lunch spread for two person
Menu and price
