This colleague of mine - R, is a mid-30s spinster. Sometimes, in the course of work, i will need to speak to her. That is when the trouble comes....

She smells really BAD! I can't think of an example of what will smell as bad. I feel faint and giddy even if i speak to her for as short as 10 secs.

Occasionally, i will pretend to place a finger to cover my nostrils (act like i am deep in thought), but i can't do it all the time or it will be too obvious.

Please advise..... :(

Do what people who work with dead people do... apply some balm under your nose before you deal with her.

which part of her body the smell come from ?

hi there

1. aiyoh! unwashed hair, armpits, mouth and of course, unwashed between the legs man!
2. just go upfront and speak to her about her "smell".
3. if she feels "offended", drop her like a bomb.
4. after all, you are doing the "smelly" person a damn good favour.

The colleague is only in her 30's :)

The smell is probably related to her diet. She may even have some kind of health problems:confused:

I thought so too. Maybe it's like those elderly people kind of smell. No offence to elderly people, but i understand that it's normal for old people to have some kind of body odour.

You all damn funny, all want to know which parts smells, hahahaha :D:D:D

This is a quite a common issue and best dealth with by HR rather than a colleague in the same office. A short note to HR will do the job. HR people will be familiar dealing with these things.
