So unsafe! Mustafa Centre overcrowded but still lets shoppers in

STOMPer Suman Sinha noticed that Mustafa Centre was letting in shoppers even though it was overcrowded, and feels this is an unsafe practice.

In an earlier STOMP article, SCDF announced that Mustafa Centre was fined $17000 on Jan 19, 2010 for not adhering to safety regulations.

The STOMPer comments:

"Mustafa Centre continues to ignore safety regulations.

"The TV screen on the top right corner indicates the number of people inside, and the number that can safely be inside as per SCDF norms.

"When the screen turns red it means the number has been exceeded and the loading on the floors is unsafe.

"When this picture was taken, the number had been exceeded as is evident, and people were still being let in."
