Interesting to see news reports from the other side. DPR forces (and LPR) are pro-Russian separatists, some people in Mariupol and most of the people in the Donbas region support them. They have been fighting the nazi-leaning Azov Battalion since 2014. Azov is a unit within the National Guard of Ukraine, based in Mariupol. Putin used this as justification for the invasion

It's really sad to see ordinary folks suffer and get killed, because of different ideology. Very messy state of affairs.
