Opposition Rallies : Capturing the Spirit of Singapore...

There was a time when Singaporeans gathered in large numbers to support and cheer for our soccer team at the National Stadium during the Malaysia Cup. When Singaporeans cheer in unison with their hearts, there is this great feeling of national pride. As one people, we can overcome all challenges if we stay united. Together, we embody an indominable Singaporean spirit.

Today, as Singaporeans, we face intense competition from imported labor. We face challenges such as job instability, rising cost of living, stagnant wages and a widening income gap.

The PAP stuck the "into our hide" constantly pushing us to be cheaper, better and faster by opening the floodgates to foreign workers to compete with us for jobs and depress our wages. As if life has not been stressful enough, we find ourselves stretched almost to breaking point by overcrowded trains and the escalating cost of living. As we found ourselves squashed like sardines in crowded trains, the SMRT profits rises to record highs [SMRT last Q4 results up 50.4%].

While our wages remain stagnant, our leaders pay themselves increment of 30% and 8 months of bonus. While we worry about our healthcare burden which has been rising, our leaders implement means testing to maximise our burden while they enjoy the best medical benefits as they take million dollar salaries.

Ministers pay $8 while the poor like Olympic hero, Tan Howe Liang was saddled with $100K of medical debt for his wife's cancer treatment.

This election it not "WP vs PAP"...it is not "SDP vs PAP"....it is not "NSP vs PAP".
As one netizen put it, this election looks like it is "SINGAPOREANS vs PAP"!
Singaporeans have turned up in large numbers to cheer their home team - the people who will put their interest first over everything else.

The Opposition demonstrated this by avoiding 3 corner fights in all constituencies except one SMC putting aside their own interests to work together. Their rallies have been insprational capturing the hearts of ordinary Singaporeans throughout the nation. You see more and more people turning up at their rallies as they send out a message of hope and change for a better future. That is the message has captured the imagination of voters ...voters who increasingly feel that they cannot wait any longer for change.

The lost Kallang Roar has found its way into muddy fields and tiny stadiums around our island home. So many people turn up that people listen to the messages standing outside the stadiums, by the streets, at the bus stops and the balcony of HDB flats nearby. The people both young and old stand on the muddy fields for more than 3 hours to listen to speakers who touch their hearts and inspire them with the message of change.

This election Singaporeans will win because the spirit of Singapore has been resurrected and it is indominable!
