Murder suspect on new charges

<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> THE man accused of murdering a six-year-old boy under his care was charged on Thursday with consuming morphine and three counts of failing to report for urine tests. Mohammad Johan Rashid, 31, unemployed, was charged last month with the murder of Muhammad Nor Rashidy Rahmat, whose decomposed body was stuffed in a trolley bag by the Kallang River bank near Block 44, Bendemeer Road on Nov 25. The alleged murder took place in a flat in Queenstown five days earlier. The fresh charges accuse him of taking morphine on Nov 25 and failing to present himself for urine tests on Aug 1, 8 and 15 when he was subject to a supervision order. Johan was remanded for psychiatric examination. He will appear in court again on Dec 31.
