PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) would be calling in former finance minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz (pic) over the Jana Wibawa programme, says a source.

The source also stated that a few other individuals allegedly connected to the case of Jana Wibawa during the tenure of the eighth prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin would also be called up to give their statements during the course of investigations.

It also said that MACC stated that contrary to what Muhyiddin had told the media on Saturday (Feb 18), the Perikatan Nasional chairman and Pagoh MP was allegedly still regarded as a suspect in the Jana Wibawa case.

"Investigations are being conducted on a few individuals including the former finance minister Tengku Zafrul.

"The current International Trade and Industry Minister will be called in by MACC to give his statement in the near future.

"With regards to the statement made to the media yesterday (Feb 18), MACC feels that Muhyiddin should not have made speculative comments as this disturbs the MACC course of investigations.

"Muhyiddin is a suspect in the investigations over Jana Wibawa when he was called in for questioning by MACC on Feb 16," said the highly-placed source.

On Feb 18, Muhyiddin told the media that MACC had confirmed that he was not a suspect in the ongoing investigations when he was called up to give his statement.

The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president had also named Tengku Zafrul as the one who approved the companies taking part in the Jana Wibawa programme, held during the Covid-19 pandemic to assist bumiputra contractors.

MACC is currently investigating allegations that the chosen contractors then allegedly deposited RM300mil into the Bersatu party account.

Muhyiddin had denied this, crying political slander by those intending to smear his reputation as former eighth prime minister.

I believe this could be the last we will be hearing of umno old guards, from muhyiddin, to dr m to anwar ibrahim.
Next election, sabah and sarawak holds 33% of seats, up from 25%. They will decide who the next leaders will be. This arrangement will weaken malay stranglehold in politics, so not sure if it will pass in parliament or not. Plus all the sultan will probably need to agree to this before approving.

The faggot will make the charges either go away or delay their conclusion until after his term is over. His political alliance will fall apart without UMNO.

muud stranglehold in jiuhu politics will endure due to demographics. PAS would take over from UMNO, just like they did in the recent jiuhu GE.

In jiuhu, you don't need to win elections to hold important Cabinet positions or continue to play a strong part in jiuhu politics. Just ask Zafrul, current Trade and Industry minister who lost his elections but got his cabinet position due to his muud race.

PAS is not populare in sabah snd sarawak. All DAP need is just 18% of seats to create a coalition gomen with simple majority.

PAS will focus on peninsular jiuhu, and then co-opt the parties that win in sabah and sarawak. That's the norm.

The east malaysians will not back PAS. Muslims are minority in sarawak and was minority in sabah before tun mustapha, of sulu descent, allowed hundreds of thousands of sulus from philippines to stay there. So now its muslim majority. But not the PAS type of muslims. More moderate types,

Mahathir-1.jpg

(FMT) – Dr Mahathir Mohamad has expressed fears of an impending government push for changes in electoral boundaries that could result in the number of Malay-majority seats being reduced.

Mahathir said he was afraid of such a possibility as Anwar Ibrahim’s ruling coalition holds a two-thirds majority in the Dewan Rakyat.

“And if there are fewer Malay-majority areas, there is a chance for others to exert influence on the government,” he said at a press conference here.

Last year, the Election Commission said the Federal Constitution provided for redelineation of electoral boundaries every eight years. The next redelineation would be due in 2026.

Any change in the constitution must be passed by the Dewan Rakyat with the agreement of two-thirds of MPs.

In the recent GE2022 in jiuhu, the Sarawak ruling party supported PAS, forcing the faggot to court UMNO.

Sarawak party follows BN decision. Initially BN wanted PAS to form a malay coalition but decided to stay neutral later, and waited for best offers between two coalition.
Sarawak parties also at odds with DAP as they are on opposite sides in the state. When L8m Guan Eng was finance minister, he humiliated saraeak by cutting off funds to the state saying it owed federal gomen money, when in actuality, sarawak contributed huge sum of oil and gas money to the feds.DAP was forced to apologise and lim gusn eng was not in current cabinet due to this.
