This has been the PAP SOP for decades. They take a ransom from you, return $0.02, especially just before elections when the stupid people will hail their generosity and vote for them again. After elections, they take another ransom from you until the next elections.

From now on, once they have squeezed you dry of all your money and you grow old, they get your children to ship you out to another country to die there to make way for more FTs and then swipe the remnants of your CPF money.
