A worker from China fell 19 storeys to his death from a building under construction in Sengkang, reported Shin Min Daily News.
The accident took place at about 2.45pm on Thursday afternoon, said Shin Min.
The Chinese evening daily reported that the victim, Liu Debao, 40, was among a group of workers who were lifting a pre-fabricated bathroom unit by using a tower crane.
Strong winds were suspected to have fiercely rocked the unit, which hit Liu and caused his tragic fall, said Shin Min.
The paper added that police are investigating the case as unnatural death.

SINGAPORE — Two workers fell to their death today (Jan 22) at a construction site at Fusionopolis Way, near Ayer Rajah Avenue.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted at 12.45pm to an incident. On arrival at the worksite, police established that an industrial accident had occurred. SCDF paramedics pronounced two men, both of Bangladeshi nationality and in their 20s, dead at the scene.
Officers from the Manpower Ministry’s Occupational Safety and Health Inspectorate were on-site to investigate the incident.
The ministry said preliminary findings show the two men fell from the 7th storey of a building under construction.
The Manpower Ministry has instructed the occupier of the construction site to stop all work involving lifting operations.
