While it's of course choreographed, but Donnie Yen is one of the very few martial artist actors who does indeed have the genuine mixed martial arts chops (and not just traditional Chinese martial arts) to take on real-life MMA fighters.

Also, the movie "Big Brother" this scene is taken from, is one of Donnie Yen's most underrated movies.

While it's of course choreographed, but Donnie Yen is one of the very few martial artist actors who does indeed have the genuine mixed martial arts chops (and not just traditional Chinese martial arts) to take on real-life MMA fighters.

Also, the movie "Big Brother" this scene is taken from, is one of Donnie Yen's most underrated movies.

To be precise, you're referring specifically to 'traditional Chinese martial arts' or others that specialize in striking, eg. Muay Thai, because Brazilian jiu-jitsu (among others) is one of the martial arts that specialize in ground grappling.
