PM hosts Chinese New Year party
ENTHUSIASTIC guests jostled for a chance to take a picture and shake hands with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana lawn yesterday.

They were there for the annual Chinese New Year Garden Party, hosted by PM Lee and his Cabinet colleagues to thank grassroots leaders for their community work and dedication.

About 4,000 grassroots leaders and family members turned up for the event and exchanged greetings with ministers and MPs. Those present included Senior Ministers Goh Chok Tong and S. Jayakumar, and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Also there was President S R Nathan.

Guests were treated to performances by the People's Association Youth Chinese Orchestra and Tampines North Community Club's Philharmonic Winds Orchestra, as well as an exhibition of costumes from this year's Chingay Parade.

He was all along well-liked by majority of sinkie, anytime is more popular than any pop star, I don't even got a chance to shake hand with him. :(

There are many reason for people touch him
1. For good luck to pass
2. Curse the person
3. KPKB talk big that he/she shake hand with PM
4. To show or acting...................

Same same for Saddam,99.99% voted him for president, everybody one to kiss the Great Beloved Leader !!!

I strongly disagree! You put Caishen Ye there and you see who is more popular! :D

I will attend future LHL public events and try to find a chance to throw my biggest slipper at him. :D

I will attend future LHL public events and throw my 1-month unwashed socks at his face.
