“Did I travel back in time to get the most expensive cab fare ever?”

STOMPer Bear travelled from Jurong East to Maxwell Road and was issued with a taxi receipt in which he had to ‘pay’ over $100, 000 and his cab ride started in 2030.

In his email to STOMP, the STOMPer related:

“This receipt was issued to me yesterday (Apr 9) when I took a cab from Jurong East to Maxwell Road at around 10 plus pm.

“At around 1040 pm, when I reached my destination, I requested for a receipt.

“I paid the meter fare of $11.20.

“The first thing I felt when I saw the receipt was that it was funny. How do I travel back in time and this would be the most ‘expensive’ cab I ever took.”

1st world IT. The Software from the receipt printer & meter is Tua Kong like hell.
