More NMPs, so political system matured?

2 more NMPs means more taxpayer's money would be used to pay for their allowance. Who are the 2 NMPs who are ex-Young PAP members har?

Political watchers said that Singapore political system has matured as they saw it as a healthy trend as more and more come to serve as Nominated Member of Parliament.(NMP). The NMP system was introduced in 1990 and the number of NMP has since increased from 7 to 9.

Why these people want to choose the easiest way to Parliament? Can they really be a voice of the people? Two of the 'selected' NMPs are former members of the Young PAP. PAP might as well abolish election. All MPs are selected instead of being elected by the people.

why would anyone wants to be an NMPs which pays like less than 2K when and MP pay is 15K per month?

if NMPs are driven by PAPs, and just for wayang wayang. like GRCs, we have took a political step backward.

the NMP is a copy cat of the communist PRC..where they have a political consultative council comprising varios other political factions....but all have NO say in running the countries...they are there just to voice their opinions and suggestions...
so our NMP is not our unique creations..but a copycat of the commie system..ha ha ha
