Moirale was at a all time low - most of those affect had already packed up their things in anticipation of this blood letting...BUT some were taken by surprise as they were good performers- but yet were axed.
One the other hand two things stood out:-
1) Highly paid useless expats were not affected. Not one kwailo/ang moh affected so far!
2) a few highly paid useless ladies ladies who knew how to politick well were also spared.
Axeing was done perfunctorily ....really disgusting!
The Asian units were th eones doing well and the people working there becomes the victims!

The regime has similar examples.

WKS was the poster boy of Home's inept performance. Only a few monkeys were sacked by WKS as ACCOUNTABILITY while he gleefully propose new laws to deny peasants a right to protest.

Ho Jinx may have lost count over the peanuts she burnt. Hey, she was simply parachuted to safety each time. Despite her billion losses, she has another cushy job waiting for her.

Josephine Teo is another example. She was one of the EDB bright sparks sent to deal with the commies in Suzhou. Instead, the Commies send her packing back to lick her wounds and she could not account for the 90 million peanuts. To add salt to injury, while other EDB 'jiat leow bee' suffered from the Suzhou fiasco, she was strangely turned into a well paid lackey. The reason was obvious when she scold peasants claiming Young Autocrat's plan to tax the poor peasants is actually a plan to help the poor peasants. When she was challenged to support her statements, she suddenly backtracked and claimed there is no better time to raise taxes???!!!
