More than 100 people witnessed what may be an exorcism in a well known temple yesterday.
A young attractive woman had scrambled into the well known Kwan Im Temple at Waterloo Street yesterday (10 feb) at noon, complaining of being "cursed".
Eyewitnesses say the woman, a Vietnamese, knelt in the centre of the red carpet in the temple's main hall and began to pray fervently.
The woman, claiming to be under a "love spell", began to kowtow and even began wailing for the next two hours while begging for help.
Five temple priests approached her and performed what appeared to be an exorcism before a crowd of about 100 curious onlookers.
The woman was said to be spasming and shaking her head violently, until the" exorcism ritual" was completed about four hours later.
