Former Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) principal Ong Teck Chin has set up a tuition centre in Orchard Road. It offers classes from primary to A level and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
In October last year, Dr Ong resigned abruptly from a job which he had held since 1994. An investigating panel at the school later found him to have behaved inappropriately towards a male teacher.
An advertisement for the tuition centre, Excel Learning Studio at Far East Shopping Centre, had Dr Ong's picture in it. It was placed in The Straits Times' classified section earlier this week.
A check of the centre's website shows that it was set up in July by Dr Ong, 62, and his wife Rita Goh, a former primary and secondary school teacher who has a specialist diploma in pastoral care and career guidance. They are described as the centre's consultants and tutors.
