A few months ago, model Denice Lam (林卓錡) made headlines when she was crowned winner of Miss Hong Kong 2022. The unexpected win has certainly made her year!

Unfortunately, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows for her since then.

While Denice has been busy with her work as Miss Hong Kong, life has been throwing a few trials her way.

Previously, Denice made headlines again when her parents’ feud went public. This time, someone claimed to have released Denice’s sex video!

Yesterday (24th November), a netizen came forth, claiming to have a video of Denice Lam having sex. They reportedly stated it was “this year’s Miss Hong Kong Denice Lam’s true record of adultery“. Although only a small fragment was released, the netizen claimed they had the “full version”.

The video clip showed a half-naked woman being intimate with a man in bed. However, after comparing the woman’s features with Denice’s photos, many concluded that it was not her. Some have speculated that the clip was actually taken from a pornographic video.

Denice herself later clarified the issue and clearly stated that it was not her.

However, she reportedly said she knew who was behind the whole issue and requested they stop. As the issue could affect Denice Lam and the Miss Hong Kong image, TVB has since reported the issue to the police.

This is not the first time rumours have attempted to slander Denice Lam. Previously, there were claims that she was in debt and that she had allegedly harassed her rival at their workplace. However, Denice has denied all allegations.

Claiming to have insider news of the Miss Hong Kong winner being drugged and raped, the source offered two photos and a video to media, which allegedly included one with Denice’s face and another of her half-undressed and behaving intimately with an unidentified male in bed. However, those who have seen the materials surmised that the woman in the photos allegedly did not resemble Denice, and the video footage too was suspected to be excerpts from Japanese pornographic films.

Another recent rumor emerged that Denice participated in the contest for the prize money, as she had chalked up HKD500K in card debts. Amid the ongoing war of words between her estranged parents Wilson Lam (林俊賢) and mother Jasmine amid the two’s mutual allegations of mistreatment and abuse, it was revealed that Denice had taken a DNA test at Wilson’s request before the two’s reconciliation happened after many years. Adding that she will not comment further on her parents’ matters, Denice recently shared about having moved out and learning to support herself at the young age of thirteen.

Interviewed about the sex tape scandal, Denice had responded “Just one look and you’ll know it is not me”. Thanking her company TVB for the trust and support, the 27-year-old added that she would not let the matter affect her and will quickly adjust herself psychologically.

For those who do not know yet, Lam’s father is the 80’s TVB heartthrob Wilson Lam.

Since she won her Miss Hong Kong title, the media cannot seem to give her a break.

People even went to dig out one of her interviews back in 2020, where she talked about her controversial sex life.

In that interview, she talked about how she preferred Scorpio men to others as they were more handsome and performed better in bed. She also mentioned that she had five sex partners that she did the deed. Rotten one,

When asked if she ever regretted saying those in the public domain, she replied with a “no” adding that it is a new era and that these kinds of relationships are normal.

However, this did not stop the public from becoming outraged.

Some netizens who disagreed with Lam’s words called her many names, one of which is “nymphomanic”.

The controversies did not stop there. Another controversy surrounding Lam was that she was in a mountain of debt, owing massive amounts to various credit card companies.

Media reports state that she owed up to HK$500,000 (S$87,000).

Due to this, many people online have speculated that Lam joined the competition in hopes of being able to pay off the debts that she had collected.

However, Lam has also stepped up to refute these claims.

In an interview, Lam mentioned that her credit card limit was only HK$10,000 (S$1,800) and that there was no way that she could have racked up such a huge amount, especially not HK$500,000 (S$87,000), calling the rumours “fake news”.

In addition to her statement, she says she does not even use credit cards anymore, citing that she prefers to use cash.
