Handicapped PRC people begging for money at S'pore hawker centres

A STOMPer was puzzled by the sight of handicapped people from China begging in Singapore's hawker centres, and wondered how they came to be begging here.

Here's what the surprised STOMPer wrote in an email today (Jan 3):

"Did these people from the PRC really take a plane to our tiny island just beg for money?

"I can't help but wonder why the government isn't doing anything about them? This is not the first time I have seen them.

"These pictures were taken at Jurong West Hawker centre.

"Imagine if everyone donates $2 to them.20 people would mean $40!

"Such easy money. They even earn more then the hawkers themselves.

"How can they be rich enough to take a plane to Singapore yet have to beg for money?"

>>COOLEO says: Looks like we are importing all sorts of foreigners to PeeSai. Even importing PRC beggars to replace Sinkie beggars! Are they CHEAPER, FASTER & BETTER?!<<

This foreign talents are working hard for their money. Cause Singaporeans are becoming so lazy that they didnt even want to beg when they have no money. Not like the Ah Tiongs, if they have no money, they work hard to beg rite Sinkies???

Let me repeat what I told you Sinkies before to refresh your minds ah!!!

"Over time, the MM says, Singaporeans have become "less hard-driving and hard-striving." This is why it is a good thing, the MM says, that the nation has welcomed so many Chinese immigrants (25 percent of the population is now foreign-born). He is aware that many Singaporeans are unhappy with the influx of immigrants, especially those educated newcomers prepared to fight for higher paying jobs. But taking a typically Darwinian stance, the MM describes the country's new subjects as "hungry," with parents who "pushed the children very hard." If native Singaporeans are falling behind because "the spurs are not stuck into the hide," that is their problem."

Been seeing PRC beggars around for the past two years. You can find them at waterloo street! Remember they are FOREIGN TALENTS! :D

Re: Minister Mentos say no beggars in Sinkapore. Then why are these Ah Tiongs begging

No, no, no, these are not considered "beggars in singapore".
They are beggars from china.
The foreigners in singapore only contribute to the economy and have no negative impact on the country and the singaporean voters at all.
How can you even think that?

SINkingporeans are not only hungry, they are mired in debts created by promise of a swiss standard of living..that they do not even have the 'balls' to beg!! for they afarid to get arrested...and incur more debts!! it is vicious cycle...

Saw this talent in AMK food market last week. He sings while limping and pushing the trolley containing a amplifier and CD player.

Wow, he really working hard all over the island earning his living. No distance is too far for foreign talents but locals will KPKB if need to travel out of his/her estate.

Who say he is a beggar ? He is a talent who can do few things at same time.
