Kelvin Phey said, "25k for a intermediate language course? What would be the cost for Advanced or Expert or even Professional grade? half a million dollars? Beware the wrath of being assaulted by the Officer for not speaking mandarin during his course."
Another netizen said, "is this a form of cultural exchange? singapore teaches them english and they teach singapore communist songs?"
Another netizen, "like how students of a MOE primary school in Singapore performing a PRC china communist song 女兵走在大街上 during Singapore's National Day celebration LAST YEAR?"
Now, let me share with you another GeBiz tender from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to show you that this senseless spending is not only limited to the MINDEF.
The tender describes a English course for China officers. The awarded tender goes to Seameo.

The value is $200,000 for a 12 week course for China officers!

We already have so much debt laden on us - ERP, GST, Toll Charges and Stamp Duties. It truly makes a mockery of our system that PAP would see a need to spend more than $200,000 of our money to teach PRC Government Officers English.
We have seen PAP trying to butter and suck up to PRCs since PM Lee took office to fatten up Temasek Holdings coffers.
But how has the average Singapore citizen like me benefit us?
